Have you ever felt like you don’t just fit in?

Have you ever felt like no matter how hard you try it always feels like life is out to get you?

Have you ever felt like you were maybe just a bit different?

If you answered yes to any of those questions then my content is for you. My name is Georgie and I too can answer yes to all of those questions. I have spent the majority of my forty years on the planet moving from trauma to trauma, drama to drama, hobby to hobby, health condition to health condition wondering what on earth I did wrong to get the hand I was dealt.

I’ve questioned the fairness of my existence and everything that has come my way throughout life, until now.

Last year I experienced the biggest trauma of all and over the course of the last ten months with the help of therapists and medical professionals have begun to unpick every single thing that has happened to me since birth with no stone left unturned.

This account is one where you will find nothing but honesty, reality and the cold hard truths about everything covered.

My medical history is very messy and I will go in to it in more details in posts and blogs but in short the subjects covered across my channels will be PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder), EndometriosisC-PTSD (Complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), Cervical CancerMental Health Struggles and Disordered Eating, Neurodivergence and ADHD.

Step by step and day by day I continue to work through my healing era hoping to both rid myself of the dis-ease of the last 20 years and also inspire others to start asking bigger questions and dig deeper for relief in their own lives.

You may be wondering why the account is called ‘Finding Lyla’ it’s a long story I’ll touch on at some point, but that little voice in your head, feeding you with negative criticism, her. Well mine is called Lyla!

The Gang

Chezney

‘Chezney Bean’ ‘Chezzer’ ‘Chez’ Came in to our lives about six years ago as a loan pony for Arabella, he cane with a bundle of health conditions that we have managed throughout the years and in his late twenties. He has brought so much joy to both of us even in his retirement there is nothing quite like a cuddle with Chez.

The Piggies

The piggies came in to our lives back in April 2025 and It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. They bring Arabella and I SO much joy. Oaty, Noodle, Rolo and Oreo are our little team of Guinea Pigs and they feature lots with their squeaks, antics and me wasting hours just watching them potter about in their run.

Archibald

The most ridiculously over friendly and beautiful creature to have walked this planet. My love for this cat knows no boundaries. He spent 5 months as a house cat when we moved but has now transitioned back out to being an indoor and outdoor cat and is loving life. I owe so much of my healing to this guy.

Chan

Chan is a black, British warmblood gelding who found me for a reason. He has had a very messy past with some clear abuse at some point. Whilst I’m recovering he is out at grass spending his own time recovering and unwinding from the trauma he has faced in his own life. I have never related so much to an animal in my 40 years on the planet.

Pete

Pete is our very elderly tortoise. We inherited him from an elderly neighbor about seven years ago and has been with us ever since. He spends his days mooching around in the garden enjoying bananas, little gem lettuce and basking in the sunshine. I have a daily routine with Pete where I hand feed him, more for my benefit than his.

Beatrice

Known as ‘Crazy B’ ‘B’ or when she’s really naughty ‘Beatrice’ this is our year old Cocker Spaniel puppy. She’s chaotic, lively and in to EVERYTHING as you can imagine being a spaniel.

B came in to our lives just before we were uprooted and the transition in truth has been hard for her and use, but slowly we are working on manners and energy!

Argy

‘Argy the Onion Bargee’ Argy has been Arabellas pony since early in 2024 and they have had so much fun together. He is a very cheeky chap and regularly tests the boundaries with both Arabella and I. Sadly this is likey to be their last summer together as Arabella is growing at a rate of knots and in his teens now he isn’t.

Logan

The most timid, polite little gentleman, Logan is a pure bred long coat Chihuahua, and his claim to fame is that when I first got him as a seven month old puppy we went to Crufts showing and he had a second place. Nervous around men (something I can relate to) his presence in the house is gold.

PeeWee

PeeWee found me in 2022 with a host of behavioral problems from poor care and abuse. We worked through them and has some success under saddle before she was diagnosed with the bone cyst on her navicular. She now spends her days turned out at grass with Chan and a friends horse living her retirement in the sunshine.

Daisy

‘The Queen’ ‘Daisy Winkleman’ ‘Winkle McJinkle’ This girl has the amount of sass you would expect from a horse much bigger than her, standing at 28 inches Daisy is a miniature shetland but every inch of her is character, don’t be fooled by her size. Nearing her late 20’s Daisy is also retired having served her purpose for Arabella when she was little, and she spends her days causing trouble and making us run around trying to catch her!

Boris + Bertie

Boris and Bertie are our two very young pet mice. Bought from a breeder local to us (as we didn’t realize how hard it is to buy rodents anymore, little to no pet shops now sell them)

They live in Arabellas room and spend their days being smoothed, climbing and running at breakneck speed on their flying saucer. Two very cute little additions to our family.
